Profile

Bangladesh Bank is the central bank and has thousands of employees all over the country.

Challenge

Bangladesh Bank felt to develop skills of its employees in the various areas of business communication, customer service, leadership and managerial essentials. The main challenge was cost and difficulty in reaching out different branches outside Dhaka.

Solution

OLT’s one of the packages consisting of 150 courses named Professional Foundation was given to 500 employees. 30 courses have been made mandatory and the rest have been kept open for the employees for their own development interests.

WORLD BANK

Introduction

World Bank supports a project called Employment Generation Program for the Poorest (EGPP) with the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. Govt. officials from the Upazila level to the ministry directorate are involved in this project.

Challenge

The project has an operations manual to be followed by the officials involved in carrying out the project. World Bank wanted to ensure that proper learning of the operations manual is taking place and track the learning activities of the officials.

Solution

Core Knowledge looked at the situation and proposed for custom e-learning solution. The course has been developed based on the operations manual and being used by field level govt. officials. Once a staff finishes respective e-learning course appears in an online assessment to validate her/his learning. Additionally the officials from the DDM can also track the staff taking e-learning course and their respective progress

MINISTRY OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Introduction

Ministry of Public Administration is responsible for providing human resource support to the Bangladesh public service.

Challenge

MoPA has a large pool of staff that needs to operate mobile court activity. However, providing effective training to the audience is a big challenge due to time and cost constraints.

Solution

MoPA figured out that developing e-learning program for the target audience that can be accessed from anywhere, anytime can help resolve addressing the challenge. Core Knowledge has been engaged to design & develop the course as a self learning module for the targeted MoPA officials.

Core Knowledge is also developing Public Procurement e-learning course under MoPA.

BRAC

Profile

BRAC is the largest NGO in the world working in numerous areas.

Challenge

Specific courses are not always offered from the best institutions and also all the employees are not able to attend the trainings when offered from the training vendors.

Solution

BRAC looked for OLT’s solution and adopted few courses in communication for some of its selected employees. BRAC defined specific time frame by which the employees are asked to finish the learning and improve skills.
